Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a flat in Hylton Road, Sunderland. It happened at 11.30pm on Wednesday, October 9, at a flat above Good Fillers Sandwich shop. No one was injured during the incident, which is being treated as suspicious.
Burglary arrests: Police investigating a burglary in Sunderland have arrested five people and recovered property including mountain bikes and snowboards. The burglary happened between about 10pm on Friday, October 4, and 5.45am on Saturday, October 5, at an address in Thornhill Terrace, in the city centre.
