POLICE are appealing for information after mobile phones and a luxury watch were stolen from a football club’s changing rooms while the players were on the pitch.
The raiders struck at the clubhouse of Harrogate Railway FC on Station View, Harrogate, during a match on the evening of October 1.
They went through the pockets of the players’ clothing and took three mobiles phones and a Breitling watch.
Two of the phones have since been recovered by police officers, but a black Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Breitling watch have not. The watch is described as stainless steel chronograph with a blue face and three dials.
Acting Sergeant Tom Barker said: “If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around Harrogate Railway Football Club at the time in question or you believe you have been offered any of the stolen items for sale, I urge you to please get in touch.”
Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Tom Barker or pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
