A TEENAGER was left with a bruised face when a robber attempted to steal his bag.
The 17-year-old was walking along Wilton Lane from the junction of Bolckow Street in Guisborough when the attack happened on Sunday night (September 29) at around 11.50pm.
He was approached from behind by a man described as in his 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a grey hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
The man punched the victim on the side of his face causing minor bruising and swelling and tried to steal his shoulder bag. The suspect ran off empty handed along Wilton Lane, passing the Veterinary Surgery building.
