VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help older people to carry out their shopping as part of a Come Dine With Us shopping club.
Age UK County Durham’s Come Dine With Us project is looking for people to be shopping buddies to the elderly in Bishop Auckland and Shildon.
The club picks up shoppers in the two towns and takes them to the supermarkets at St Helen’s Auckland on a regular basis.
The Bishop Auckland club operates on Tuesday mornings every other week and the Shildon group goes shopping on Thursday mornings once a fortnight.
