A COMPETITION has been launched to celebrate a new seaside attraction and create the ultimate Beaconbocker Glory sundae.

The creative contest is being organised by Seasons Café, along with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, to commemorate the Redcar Beacon’s first summer as the focal point of the town’s new-look promenade.

The tasty treat is open to everyone and all entrants have to do is list what flavour ice-creams, toppings and sauces they think could be a winner.

Entries will be whittled down to the best three, with those shortlisted taking part in a “cook-off”

at the Beacon-based cafe.

The winning ice-cream will go on sale for the summer at Seasons Café, which is open to visitors seven days a week at the free-to-enter attraction.

The closing date for entries is Sunday, with the final judging taking place the following week.

A form can be picked up from the Beacon Information Centre and people can send their entries to Seasons Café, Redcar Beacon, Esplanade, Redcar, TS10 3AA.
