DARLINGTON MP Jenny Chapman has opened the revamped post office in Mowden Park.
Ms Chapman was joined by Post Office Chief Executive Paula Vennells to cut the ribbon at a ceremony to mark the re-opening of the branch which had been closed since the end of May for extensive refurbishment work.
The new-look post office will have extended opening hours – the equivalent of one and a half extra days to use its services – and Jenny Chapman MP wished the sub-postmaster, Peter Stemmer, every success.
