FORMER Middlesbrough football hero Curtis Fleming presented a trophy at a charity tournament on Saturday, June 15.
The former Irish international is a patron of Justice First, a charity which helps refugees refused asylum in the Tees valley, and he went along to support a fund-raising 5-a-side football competition.
The event took place at the Goals Soccer Centre in Middlesbrough and, as well as the football, there was food and a chance to chat to people from all over the world.
On the Justice First website the event was hailed a big success. A statement said: “Well done to everyone who took part in our Justice First Football Tournament.
"It was a great day, some competitive football and we raised money for a very good cause.
"Thanks to everyone who played, arranged, served food, refereed, supported and contributed to a brilliant event.”
