Fire crews were called to free a woman trapped in a car following a collision on the A1 between Carrville, near Durham and Chester-le-Street at 6.36pm this evening. Two crews from Durham and High Handenhold together with a special rescue unit from Bishop Auckland attended.
Earlier this afternoon fire crews from Stockton were called to free a person injured in a road accident involving one vehicle which happened on The Causeway outside Billingham Forum, Billingham, shortly before 1.40pm.
