POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died in a road collision in County Durham.
Durham Police said the incident involved a motor vehicle and the cyclist.
It took place on the A6072 close to Denham's scrap yard between Shildon and Bishop Auckland at 5.25am today.
The cyclist, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses are asked to call Durham Police on 101.
