POLICE have named a man who died in a motorcycle crash in County Durham yesterday.
He was Neil Douglas Hamilton, 60, of Offerton Close, Sunderland.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a 4x4 near Tow Law yesterday lunchtime.
Mr Hamilton’s family said he was a much-loved family man, keen motorcyclist and organiser of the Cleveland RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) club.
The 4x4 driver, a 50-year-old Tow Law man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and bailed pending further enquiries.
