TWO snooker players from the North-East have broken a world record for playing in a marathon session.
Phillip Marshall, 20, and Ross Terrington, 22, from Consett, County Durham, potted balls continuously for 65 hours, smashing the existing world record of 50 hours.
They started on Friday evening at the Supa Snooker Club, Newmarket Street in Consett and finished at 1pm today. (Monday April 1)
They were only allowed a five minute break for every hour played and the whole session was witnessed throughout.
The challenge was held to raise money the Willow Burn Hospice, based at Maiden Law.
