A CARE home has taken delivery of a new minibus.
The vehicle has been sent to St Margaret’s Care Home, on Crossgate, Durham City – one of 200 being sent to HC-One homes across the country.
It has four seats in the back, two in the front and, crucially, space for three wheelchairs.
Home manager Carol Jones said it would allow staff to take more than one disabled resident out at a time.
HC-One managing director Pam Finnis said the arrival of the minibus fleet was a milestone for the company as it worked to provide the kindest care in the country.
