A CREW of street dancers and best friends are appealing for the North-East’s support to win a TV talent show.

Ruff Diamond, a Hartlepool street crew consisting of six boys aged 17 to 21, have been dancing together since 2008 and have represented Britain in international dancing competitions.

Now they’ve made it through to the semi-final Sunday night show Got to Dance on Sky1 and if they win will receive £250,000.

The group were planning to split up next year and this is their last chance for stardom. Crew member, Zac Healey, 22, explained all the dancers have taken time off college and university to rehearse every day for the big semi-final night on Sunday, March 10.

He said: “We’ve been through so much together and now we really want the whole of the North-East to back us.”

A public vote will decide the ten finalists who will fight for a £250,000 prize in front of a 6,000-strong audience in London on March 17.
