CHILDREN from north Durham schools have taken part in a gymnastics competition.
The Durham City School Sport Partnership (SSP) Key Steps Competition was held at Deerness Gymnastics Academy, in Ushaw Moor, on Tuesday, February 12.
Youngsters from schools in Durham City and Chester-le-Street showed off their talents in front of a judge from British Gymnastics.
At both key stages two and three, St Godric’s RC Primary School achieved the highest team score.
The Framwellgate Moor school will now represent Durham City at the countywide finals.
Cestria Primary School qualified for the finals as Chester-le-Street’s representative.
Jasmine Danby, British Gymnastics’ club development co-ordinator, said: “Everyone performed so well. Those not already involved should think about joining a club.”
