A COUNTY Durham man has been accused of carrying out a string of burglaries at a caravan park.
Jonathan Cox, of Carlton Street, Ferryhill, appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe charged with five burglaries from static caravans at Ovington Caravan Park, near Barnard Castle.
The 30-year-old is alleged to have stolen goods worth a total of more than £2,200 from the caravans between September 29 and October 6 last year.
It is alleged the haul of stolen goods included televisions, DVD players and games consoles along with other items.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and Mr Cox was released on unconditional bail until Wednesday, March 27, when he will be committed to crown court.
