Motorist cut free after car overturns

A MALE motorist was cut free from his car after it collided with a telegraph pole and tipped onto its side.
The accident took place on Bridge Street, Metal Bridge, near Durham, today (Saturday, January 19) at 3.05am.
Firecrews from Bishop Auckland and Spennymoor attended with the police and paramedics.
The man was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham.
