New Durham lecture series starts Tuesday

A NEW university lecture series showcasing world-leading research will be launched later this month (January).
Durham University’s Inaugural Lecture Series will include talks by academics who have recently been appointed or promoted.
The range of subjects is wide, from modern languages to earth sciences.
Each lecturer will showcase world-leading research taking place at Durham.
The lectures are free and open to all but places must be booked in advance by emailing: conferenceadministration.service@durham.ac.uk The series begins with Professor John Chapman, from the archaeology department, discussing Balkan pre-history in the Penthouse Suite of Collingwood College, Durham, at 6pm on Tuesday (January 22).
