Man released after questioning by police

A MAN arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a town centre pub has been released on bail.
The Weardale in Spennymoor, County Durham, was severely damaged by the fire which began at around midnight on Thursday, December 27.
A 55-year-old man arrested on suspicion of arson was questioned at Bishop Auckland police station and has been released on police bail until January 18, pending further enquiries.
