Pedestrian in fatal crash named

A PEDESTRIAN who died after a collision with a car on Christmas Eve has been named as Alan Dunn.
The 67-year-old, of Cotsford Crescent, Horden, was hit by a grey Nissan Micra at about 8am on Monday on the County Durham village’s A1086 Sunderland Road.
The air ambulance attended but Mr Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Micra, a 19-year-old woman from Peterlee, was shocked but unhurt.
