The Tees team are working on a lot of stories today including how Cleveland Fire Brigade are dealing with huge cuts and the effects they will have on jobs and services, a very worrying accident road blackspot in Middlesbrough where there's been ten serious crashes in two years and the 13th Century church in Stockton forced to close due to lead thieves.

Floods are still causing misery for some in North Yorkshire with 24 bridges and roads closed.   In Malton and Norton the County Bridge remains closed,  in Hambleton and Richmondshire seven roads are closed including Kirby Wiske village, Topcliffe Mill, and Ravensworth.

BUS BUMP: An Arriva bus collided with a Suzuki Alto on the A68 West Auckland Road, close to the junction with the A1(M), near Darlington, at about 9.40am today. Nobody was hurt.

Blondie has confirmed a very special tour of the nation’s woodlands next summer performing their hits as part of the Forestry Commission’s annual concert series Forest Live with a date at Dalby Forest.
