Group asks for help to plant 1,000 trees across Darlington

VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help plant more than 1,000 trees in Darlington.

Groundwork and Darlington Borough Council are working with friends’ groups to plant the trees in parks across the town.

Planting events take place in North Park, on Thursday, November 29, Broken Scar on Monday, December 3, and South Park on Thursday, December 6, all from 10am until 1pm.

Organisers will provide equipment for volunteers, and everyone is welcome.
