City gets faster broadband

BROADBAND NEWS: More than 59,000 homes and businesses in Sunderland, Ryhope and Washington, will be able to access high-speed fibre broadband in the next few weeks following an upgrade of new cables by phone company BT.
CABLE THEFT: One man has been cautioned and another charged with theft after they were arrested by police rinvestigating reports that copper cable was being stolen from a compound at Queen's Park, on the Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, on Saturday, November 17
