Danby Sports Association will be holding its annual presentation evening from 6.30pm on Saturday, November 10 in Danby village hall. There will be a two-course buffet dinner with games, raffle, auction, dancing and presentations. Tickets are £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors and can be obtained by ringing 01287-669338. Ticket holders may bring their own drinks as there will be no alcohol on sale.
CHARITY COLLECTIONS: Charity collections by Richmondshire District Council’s chairman, Councillor Clive World, have topped £1,000 in six months. In the last month £650 was raised from a quiz night, his annual dinner and with street collections outside the Co-op store in Richmond. Councillor Clive World has chosen four local groups to raise funds for during his year of office: the Gurkha Welfare Trust, North Country Theatre, Richmondshire Cricket Club Juniors and Junior Rugby in Richmondshire.
PARISH MEETING: Great Ayton Parish Council will be holding its next monthly meeting on November 13 at the Friends Meeting House in the town from 7pm.
