Allstars 2 Brinkburn 0

THIS was the second match in two weeks against Brinkburn.

Last week Allstars won 2-0 in the cup so spirits were high and they were ready to do battle with the very physical approach of Brinkburn.

The match started with lots of pressure from Brinkburn, but Allstars started to take control and a quick break from the back with some great passing Lewis Rees sent a pass into the box for Jonathan Lazenby to slot neatly into the back of the net.

Midway through the second half a pass from Lewis Macdonald sent Jonathan Lazenby on a run. He took the ball all the way, going past one defender on the way with some lovely skill and ended it with a lovely slot into the corner.

Man of the match was Jonathan Lazenby .

Ferryhill Town Youth

FERRYHILL Under-12s, sponsored by DAAC, played in the semi-final of the Durham County Cup and made club history against Jarrow.

Ferryhill were on the attack from the whistle but it was Jarrow who ended the half 1-0 up.

The second half saw some great football from both sides with Chrissy Devine levelling the score minutes in after another superb cross from Tom Hughf.

Kurt Seymour hit a great strike from about 25 yards only to see it go over.

Jarrow kept up the pressure and for a time looked like they were going to go ahead but Ferryhill goalie Luke Todd pulled off a couple of great saves to keep the score level.

Ferryhill's determination won through when Callum West took advantage of a scramble in front of the Jarrow goal making it 2-1.

Man of the match was Tom Hughf.
