Brenda BOULTON

Published on 17/04/2024

BOULTON Brenda 82, peacefully passed away at home on 3 April 2024 after a short battle with cancer. A woman of exquisite taste and with a strong Christian faith, she provided support and solace whilst asking little in return. She was born to Clarence and Kathleen Towlard on 16th October 1941 in Darlington, but considered Yorkshire to be her home. She remained in North Yorkshire until 2016, when she moved to Devon to be near her children. Whilst supporting 2 very young children, Brenda went on to complete her Teacher Training at Darlington College in 1970. She spent her entire teaching career at Colburn County Primary School, where Brenda finally retired at the age of 70. There is so much to be said in tribute, but in particular we note the many young lives that she helped shape and gave a future to. Brenda was predeceased by her beloved husband David and brother Alan. She is survived by daughter Susan, son Richard and sisters Margaret and Judith. A funeral service is taking place in Devon on 25th April 2024, to be followed by a memorial service in celebration of her life with family and friends in Yafforth, North Yorkshire. The family request that donations, in memory of Brenda Boulton, be made in lieu of floral tributes to www.guidedogs.org.uk, an organisation she supported for years. She will be forever loved, forever missed and leaves behind an amazing legacy.

Mum, find your heavenly peace with the big man in the sky, fly with the angels and have a ball. You will forever be missed and I still cannot believe you are no longer here. Thank you for everything that you did. Love you Sue
