DARLINGTON HARRIERS is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. It is one of the oldest athletics clubs in the region, and has about 350 members. It has produced three Olympic athletes: George Butterfield, who ran in the 1908 London Games, RL Hawley, who ran in London in 1948, and Joy Grieveson, who competed at the 1964 Tokyo Games.
