I CANNOT be the only reader who is becoming tired of the remarks in the aftermath of the relegation of three of our local football teams, comments such as “the worst day of my life” or being “completely gutted”.
Someone suffering the “worst day of their life” might be a newly orphaned child in Syria who has lost a leg or been gassed. Being demoted does not come close.
