PRIME Minister Theresa May says she wants to unite the country after the divisive referendum campaign.

She will find this easier said than done because the desires of the two sides are incompatible.

On the one hand there are the ‘Hard Brexiteers’ who want Britain out of the single market, customs union etc. and will not accept anything less, and there are hard core Remainers who will never accept Brexit under any circumstances.

Any deal has to be agreed by the other 27 other countries many of whom will have concerns about their nationals leaving in the UK.

During the referendum, people did not know what they would be getting as the Government refused to say what Brexit would be like.

If Mrs May wants to unify the UK she has to tell us what blueprint for Brexit the Government wants and give the British people a say on any Brexit deal.
