THE Northern Echo seems to think that this is “a country suffering post-Brexit blues” (comment, Aug 22), but where is the evidence?
There have been a couple of poor financial forecasts, but when could they ever be believed?
Unemployment is down and employment is at an all-time high.
Echo editorials this year have all been pro-EU, so it appears there is reluctance to accept that the majority of voters did not agree.
Yes the majority was small, as it was in the Scottish independence referendum, but we all know the rules before we vote, so we should accept the outcome. This is the nature of democracy.
Perhaps there is an element of Schadenfreude by the Echo, hoping to gain pleasure from telling the majority that they got it wrong?
