I DISAGREE completely with T Seale's conclusions on Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's treatment of Dr Eva Carneiro (HAS, Aug 18). He claims she is an "attention seeker who expects preferential treatment."

But let’s look at the facts. Dr Carneiro and a physio ran into the field in response to a medical issue. They had been gestured on by the player, other players and the referee. Their impulsive response may have been naive in football terms but they were doing their job.

Mourinho then berated them publically in a totally unnecessary and excessive manner.

Had Mourinho wished to address the issue professionally and avoid turning it into a media frenzy, he could have spoken to the doctor afterwards and kept it in house. As ever, that's not the Mourinho way.

The only attention-seeking individual in this sorry episode was Jose Mourinho. In the end, it's always about Jose.
