THERE have been several letters of late praising Darlington Borough Council for the town's wild flower meadows.
So let's add a bit of praise for the same thing in the Bishop Auckland area.
The West Auckland bypass is now bordered by cornflowers, poppies, and other colourful blooms, while the parts of the station recreation ground that have been allowed to grow "wild" are a joy to behold, and look so much better than the shorn grass of previous years.
All Durham County Council needs to do now is to get folks to take their rubbish home.
Paul Dobson, Bishop Auckland.
WHAT a pleasant surprise I got as I walked along Haughton Road, in Darlington, just past the Bristol Street Motors car dealership.
The field is covered in wild flowers.
It’s not often I praise Darlington Borough Council but well done on a wonderful display.
G Wright, Sadberge.
