The last post? Pull the other one
THE last collection at my local postbox at the top of Corporation Road next to Sainsbury’s, in Darlington, is now 9am Monday to Friday and 7am on Saturday.
This is an abuse of the English language by Royal Mail.
“Last” implies more than one and indeed late or later in the day, not first thing. It should say “one” or “only”, not “last” – unless there is a collection at 4am?
