CHRISTOPHER LEE was born on May 27, 1922 , in London.
He is best remembered for his work in the British Hammer horror films as the creature in The Curse of Frankenstein, with the late Peter Cushing, and Dracula Has Risen From the Grave, when he appeared with Veronica Carlson.
He appeared in other films over the decades including Dracula, The Mummy, She and Rasputin The Mad Monk for Hammer, various Fu Manchu adventures, Star Wars, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Corridor of Blood and The Lord of the Rings.
However, I think his best performance was as Lord Summerisle in the 1973 cult classic horror The Wicker Man which also starred the late Edward Woodward and Hammer horror icon, Ingrid Pitt.
Sadly Christopher Lee passed away earlier this month, aged 93.
