IT wasn't hard to predict the nation's favourite Queen song on ITV recently (Nov 11) .

Of course it had to be Bohemian Rhapsody which spent nine weeks at Number One in 1975 and, after the death of Freddie Mercury, a further five weeks in the top spot in December 1991.

What the song was about I have no idea but it must go down as a classic to spend so many weeks at Number One.

I was never really a great fan of Queen (I'm more of a Beatles and Rolling Stones fan) but I liked some of their songs nevertheless and Freddie Mercury undoubtedly had a very powerful voice.

He was a great entertainer but to say he was the best in the world is open to debate. Fans of Michael Jackson and Elvis might have something to say about that. It's just a shame they all died so young in tragic circumstances.
