I am delighted that the BBC has commissioned a new series of the sit com Not Going Out, starring Lee Mack and Sally Bretton, despite Miranda Hart and Tim Vine having left.

This is the seventh series but it remains as funny as ever thanks to Lee Mack and his quick-witted one-liners.

Not Going Out remains one of the best sit coms on television in my opinion.

Lee Mack is also in another of my favourite programmes - as team captain in Would I Lie To You?

He is also a very good stand-up comedian.

So, if you are in need of a good laugh (which we all need these days), I'd recommend watching or recording Not Going Out on Friday nights at 9.30pm on BBC 1.
