DAVID CAMERON’S speech to the Tory Party Conference, in Birmingham, was a triumph of professional oratory and definitely displayed his statesmanlike qualities.
Unfortunately for Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband, neither have these attributes and will never rise above their lacklustre perform-ances in recent appearances.
They are not Prime Ministerial material.
In Mr Cameron’s rousing speech he was pushing all the right buttons. But for some the phrase “too little too late” springs to mind.
I sincerely hope, that when he eventually addresses the EU Assembly in Brussels, the oratory verve and passion exhibited in Birmingham comes over forcibly leaving the congregation in no uncertain minds that this man means what he says.
