HAVING observed the new LED street lighting which is now being installed across the North-East, I have got to say it reminds me of the 1950s and 1960s when the streets were lit with gas lamps.
In fact, gas lamps gave a better light than these new LEDs.
I appreciate the old lamps were 55 watts and 35 watts, whereas the LEDs are only 18 watts, surely with today’s technology the powers that be could up with something better.
These new lamps will create more crime and anti-social behaviour than ever before.
Are there any alternatives?
