THE first minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, deputy first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, and finance minister, John Ramsey Swinney, are attacking the UK at every opportunity, trying to get a “yes” vote on September 18.
But they are also badgering our UK MPs at Westminster into joining a joint currency union with an independent Scotland. In the strongest terms, we do not want such a union.
I’m beginning to like George Osborne because he’s stuck to his guns and he’s made it clear that the UK will not share a joint currency union, and rightly so.
The SNP will not accept it and thinks the UK government is bluffing. The UK government must get all three main UK parties to sign a declaration that whichever party is elected in the general election in May 2015, it will not share a currency union with an independent Scotland.
The question Scottish voters must decide is can they believe everything Alex Salmond says.
Even when asked simple questions, he has been evasive or he is unwilling to answer.
