WE all like to try to get local angles on big stories but I can't help feeling the Cheddar Valley Gazette has stretched things a bit too far.
"Jeremy Clarkson fired just two years after Top Gear films in Cheddar," is a headline currently on the Gazette's website.
The story goes on to say: "It comes just two years after Clarkson's colleague James May filmed a sequence with a double-decker bus in Cheddar Gorge."
Crucially, the report goes on to add: "Clarkson is not believed to have been there for the filming."
So there we have it. Clarkson was sacked by the BBC quite a long time after he didn't visit Cheddar Gorge.
