Morning Readers! I hope you've all had a fantastic week. I've had a great week food wise and have lost 2lb but I am disappointed with my results this week.

I know I always say that anything between 1-2lb a week is brilliant and also the healthy way to lose weight but I was hoping for more after having gained 5.5lb last week. To make matters worse, I've been told I have Lymph oedema in my legs which makes them swell.

I've been concerned over the past few months since I gained 9lb in a week and after another bad week last week decided to get it checked out. I'm hoping that retaining the fluid won't affect my weight loss although with the 9lb and 5.5lb gains that I've had, it seems that it will affect me some weeks. I can't take medication for the condition as it will affect my kidneys.

I have to say that it's really got me down. I also don't want people thinking I'm not sticking to the eating plan when I gain either. I thought my health would be improving since I've lost weight but at the moment it seems to be creating more problems.

I'm going to pick myself up and stick with it but I'm feeling like everything is working against me at the moment and I can't seem to do right for doing wrong.

I've come too far to give up but I can't deal with people telling me I'm doing well when I feel like I'm going backwards. I just hope I lose again next week.

I've been given some lovely support stockings to wear to combat the Lymph oedema so I just hope I don't look like Nora Batty from Last of the Summer Wine when I wear them.

As you can tell, I'm feeling quite low this week but I did promise to be 100% honest while writing my blog.

How has you're week gone?

I hope you've managed to lose a few lbs this week. If you haven't, don't lose heart. Pick yourself up, draw a line under it and start again.

Just as I've been typing this, I've had a message sent to me by a gentleman on a social networking site who lives near me. I haven't seen him for a number of years so it was nice to hear from him and catch up again. He's lost approximately 16st and looks amazing. He wanted to send me a message to say that it is possible to lose the weight and to keep going because the rewards at the end of the journey are so worth it.

This has given me a real boost and the kick I've needed to crack on and keep plugging away. I knew when I started, it was going to be hard and I have to say, this has been the toughest part so far for me. Each half stone feels like taking part in a marathon.

Like any marathon runner, I have to keep going so eventually I can get across that finish line.

Are you going to cross that finish line with me?

A Good Old fashioned Sunday Roast

I don't know about you, but I love my Sunday Roast. There's nothing more comforting than the smell of the roast beef or chicken cooking in the oven. It doesn't have to be unhealthy either. By following the tips and ideas below, you can still have your roast and lose the lbs too.

1. Make sure you remove the skin from the chicken before you eat. If you're buying a ready cooked chicken, make sure it hasn't been basted with oils during the cooking process.

2. Remove all visible fat from the beef, pork or lamb.

3. Choose a wide selection of vegetables and don't overcook them so they go mushy.

4. If you enjoy Mashed Potatoes, why not mash it with vegetable stock and add some garlic and chives. Or you could mash it with a little low fat fromage frais adding black pepper and chives. Both ideas taste fabulous.

5. Instead of having big Yorkshire Puddings, why not switch to tidgy puds. You still feel as if you are having them but they are lower in calories.

Why not share your ideas for a fabulous low fat roast dinner below.

Sharing ideas can stop meals becoming boring and then we're less likely to fall off our weight loss path.

I love to read your comments as it helps me to stay focused. It's also great to know I'm not rambling on to myself.

Have a great week and hopefully, I'll see you lighter next week.

Love Wendy xxx
