Morning Readers! How are we all doing this week?

I hope you all managed to avoid the sweets and chocolate that the children got for Halloween. I'm lucky there that we don't have children. In the last 2 weeks I've had a loss of 3.5lb and then another last week of 1.5lb. This means I've lost 19lb (1st 5lb) in the last 5 weeks.

I also got slimmer of the week and slimmer of the month too which has boosted my confidence once again. I've still got 7 weeks to go to lose another 9lb to get my 2st lost by Christmas. In total I've now lost 5st 9.5lb and really am feeling determined to keep going. A dear friend of mine gave me some tough love this week and although I know I've done well, I do need to be reminded of how big I am still and the health implications that go with it. It hurt a lot to hear it and yes it did make me cry, a lot. I needed that reminder to keep me fired up.

What would keep you motivated? Do you worry about the health implications your weight has on your body? For the past two weeks our slow cooker has been an absolute God send. We've been using it for curries, casseroles, stews and chilllie too. We've been trying out the Schwartz packet mixes too which work out to be low in calories too so can be added to the slow cooker for some amazing results. It's a great way to cook in bulk too so that you have plenty of things in the freezer for those unexpected moments or when you're feeling tired after a long day at work when it would be so much easier to reach for the take away menu.

This week I'll be getting the soup maker out and stocking up on soups in the freezer for when the cold weather is upon us. What tips do you have to avoid the "Too tired to cook" feelings? How do you avoid the take away menus? I'll be honest, we throw menus straight into the recycling bin and that way we can't be tempted. As I said before, it's only 7 weeks to Christmas, so why not make a start on your weight loss journey today.

You could be half a stone lighter at least by then. Come along to Brandon Community Hall on a Wednesday Morning at 9:30. I'd love to see you there. Carol is our fab Consultant and would make you very welcome too. There's also a class on a Wednedsday evening at 5pm and 7pm. The support is great too.

There are Slimming World Classes all over the North East and the results you get are amazing. Not only can you see a difference, but you will feel the difference too. Now's the time to make those life changes that will help you live life to the full.

See you lighter next week, Love Wendy xxx
