MY advice to the teaching assistants in County Durham regarding the new offer is: don’t touch it with a bargepole.

It’s a deeply cynical attempt to trick you into betraying not just your colleagues but yourselves.

In short, it stinks, and if you accept you will live to regret it – bitterly.

As for Unison’s stance on the issue, it stinks too: what kind of union is it that recommends its members to do the dirty on their fellow workers?
