I LOVE Cycology's approach to cycling.
They refuse to conform to stereotypes and produce clothing that is more than just something to wear - they are works of art.
It was no surprise to me when I discovered they were based in Australia, their laid back approach reminiscent of the California surfing movement.
That's not to say they are not every inch as professional as brands more readily associated with the sport. They might produce garments with a strong emphasis on fun, but they are deadly serious when it comes to quality.
Take the Bike Obsession Mens Long Sleeve Jersey (£65), I spent a good half hour or more just studying it before I put it on.
Emblazoned with the words 'Cycology' on the front and 'Obsession is a word sometimes used to describe Dedication' on the back, it leaves fellow riders in no doubt as to how seriously you view your pastime.
Substantial, but not weighty, it is ideal for autumn mornings when you need something to fend off the worst of the cold weather.
It features reflective piping in front panel seams for extra visibility, gel injected gripper on the sleeve cuff and reflective tab on rear pockets and has flat stitched seams to avoid chafing.
