CALLING your new car the Kwid is quite apt given that it's aimed at the cheaper end of market.

Renault reckons the Kwid, which is aimed at international markets, turns the tables on the rest of its A-segment rivals, promising "a robust, stylish exterior plus a modern, welcoming interior equipped with features normally associated with models from the next segment up".

With SUV looks, its has generous cabin space, while remaining relatively unobtrusive on the road.

Interior features include a modern media-nav navigation and multimedia system complete with large 7ins touchscreen display and Bluetooth connectivity.

Renault says it combines the comfort and functional user-friendliness of a family city car with a an interior that features a raft of stowage solutions.

The Kwid will be launched in India in the second half of 2015 with a price tag of around £3,000.

Using a new Renault-Nissan Alliance platform and following the trail blazed by the Duster, the Kwid will enable Renault to continue its expansion and address the needs of customers who want a vehicle that is stylish, robust and easy to use.”
