I visited hospital, that’s where I’ve been
To see part of my body, daylight’s never seen.
I thought to myself is that really me?
But it was on screen so it had to be.
The staff talked me through it without any fuss
By my only goal, to be sat on the bus.
And when it was over they said all seemed well
The team was content at a glance I could tell.
Looking back I remembered my doubts and fears
I hurriedly dressed and then disappeared.
Albert Curle, Ferryhill.
