AS the dust settles following last week's events in EastEnders (BBC1), the residents of Walford do their best to get back to normal – and for the Carters, that means organising another ill-fated theme night at the Vic.

This time, Mick plans to keep it relatively simple with a quiz, but Sylvie decides they need some extra entertainment, so Tina agrees to let her perform a song.

As if being serenaded by the landlord's ailing grandmother wasn't awkward enough, the atmosphere in the pub gets even more strained when the roof starts leaking and Babe accuses an emotional Ian of being drunk after he falls asleep at the bar. No wonder takings are down – and Mick's financial situation is about to get a whole lot worse...

Elsewhere, Ben considers getting a place with Jay, but changes his mind after Sharon says how much Phil likes having his son around. We've never seen much evidence of that in the past, but maybe Sharon just wants Phil to have someone to talk to other than Tony's wife.

Moira comes up with a unique business strategy in Emmerdale (ITV) this week – when a meeting goes badly, she tries to make a profit anyway by stealing the client's car.

Unfortunately, the client then unexpectedly offers her a contract before revealing that there's an urn of ashes in the boot of his missing motor. Can Moira get it back from Ross before her new customer realises she's a car thief and a body snatcher?

Lisa collects Joanie from prison so she can break the news that she's back with Zak, even though she's beginning to think that the rekindled romance isn't a good idea. Sadly, what happens next is going to make it very hard for Lisa to share those doubts with Zak.

Lachlan's sentencing brings the tensions between the White sisters to a head, as Chrissie gets into a Dynasty-style tussle with Rebecca and ends up falling over the bannister. And the only thing to break there to break her fall is a glass table....

Charity finds a potential new partner in crime, Debbie receives bad news, and Tracy joins the Emmerdale literati by starting a book club.

The Barlows have never exactly been good at playing happy families in Coronation Street (ITV), and that doesn't seem about to change any time soon – the only surprise is that this time, it's not Tracy who's rocking the boat.

Adam is disgusted by Ken's new will, which states that he is leaving only a quarter of his estate to his grandchildren, with his kids getting the rest. Clearly he was expecting a big pay out – although seeing as Ken's only major asset is his house, you can't imagine any of his offspring being able to dine out for long on its proceeds.

But the seed of hate is well and truly sewn, and Adam begins plotting a way to get back at his granddad, possibly with help from Todd. Peter, meanwhile, is more worried about Toyah after discovering her obsession with having a baby, a road he really doesn't want to go down. Plus, Jenny comes up with an intriguing business idea and Kevin's financial situation goes from bad to worse.
