Bryan Ferry and Will Young to headline Mouth of the Tyne Festival

TICKETS are going on sale at 9am on Friday, February 5, for Bryan Ferry and Will Young headline evening concerts at Tynemouth Priory and Castle in July, two more highlights of this year’s Mouth of the Tyne Festival, in North Tyneside.

North-East born Ferry, CBE, influenced a generation with his music and style. As a solo artist and Roxy Music front man, he achieved number one albums and top ten singles with hits including Love is the Drug, Tokyo Joe, Dance Away, Slave to Love and Let’s Stick Together. He will perform on Thursday, July 7.

The following night, Friday, July 8, multi-million selling singer-songwriter Will Young will perform songs from his catalogue of hits along with tracks from his latest number one album 85% Proof.

Grammy-nominated James Bay has already been announced for an appearance on Saturday 9 July. Tickets are now completely sold out after going on sale last week.

Mouth of the Tyne Festival is a four-day, July 7 to 10, cultural celebration of music and performing arts that takes place each summer in Tynemouth. Now in its 12th year, previous stars include Paul Weller, The Specials, The Script and James Morrison. Tynemouth Priory and Castle, Playhouse Whitley Bay, Tynemouth Front Street and Tynemouth Station are the main event locations. Last year, 90,000 came along, with more than 10,000 attending the outdoor Priory concerts.
