Gateshead and Harrogate dates for Frisky and Mannish
FRISKY and Mannish, the comedy cabaret creation of Laura Corcoran and Matthew Floyd Jones, are back on tour with their show, Just Too Much, a whirlwind of musical parody heading for Gateshead and Harrogate. Skewering every star from Miley Cyrus to Sinead O’Connor via Lorde and Clean Bandit, it’s a pop-comedy-mashup-infotainment extravaganza.
Just Too Much premièred on London’s South Bank last year before taking to the Udderbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe, where the duo received numerous five-star reviews and an Entertainmentwise Award for Best Comedy.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2008, Corcoran and Jones have headlined in the West End and toured the world, playing the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Glastonbury, New Zealand, Berlin, Singapore, Perth and New York. Regulars on BBC Radio 1, championed by Scott Mills and Gemma Cairney, their buzz and acclaim has cemented their reputation as one of the most sought-after acts on the circuit.
Tour dates: Tomorrow (Thurs, September 29) Gateshead Sage, Box Office: 0191-443-4661.
October 8, Harrogate Theatre, 01423-502116.
