Julian Clary is mincing into Harrogate and Newcastle
JULIAN Clary, who is somewhere between national trinket, author, TV and radio star, has announced tour dates for next year taking Harrogate and Newcastle.
The Joy of Mincing is Clary’s celebration of 30 years as a camp comedian. He feels there is so much to tell us; the ups and downs of his sordid love life, the true and heart-stopping account of how he saved Dame Joan Collins’ life, and don’t start him on the perils of his DIY electrical home enema kit.
On stage he will proudly wear his well-deserved MBE (Mincer of the British Empire). And because Clary gives and gives (until it hurts) he will be handing out honours to a lucky few in the audience too. This is the comic at his filthy best. Live and unplugged.
Clary's popularity has endured across a three decade career in show business. With a variety of credits to his name he is also a presenter and established pantomime star. His colourful career has seen him win Celebrity Big Brother in 2012, become a Sunday Times best-selling novelist, complete countless smash-hit tours and more recently he added children’s author to his long list of credits, publishing The Bolds. The entertainer, who lives in Kent with his partner, also fronted a three-part natural history series for ITV, entitled Nature Nuts, which aired this month.
Tour dates: April 29, Harrogate Royal Hall. Box Office: 01423-502-115 and May 15, Newcastle Theatre Royal, 08448-112-121
