So, it's no surprise that when Shadnam and Dean later bump into each other, they both have kids on the brain – and when they end up talking at cross purposes before Shabnam says a little too much.

Dean confronts the shop assistant about her remarks, forcing her to admit that she gave birth to his child, although she then lies and claims that there were complications, and the baby subsequently died. However, it's not long before Dean notices some inconsistencies in her story...

In Emmerdale (ITV), Marlon is convinced that what Laurel needs is a healthy dose of tough love as he continues to keep her away from their kids – and refuses to fund her drinking. When it turns out that no one else in the Woolpack is willing to give her cash either, Laurel heads to a bar, hoping that one of the men there will buy her a drink, but she ends up with more than just a glass of wine as she wakes up the next morning in a stranger's bed.

It seems the drunken one-night stand has brought Laurel to her senses as she finally admits to Rhona that she is an alcoholic – but has her realisation come too late to save her marriage?

Debbie is concerned to learn that Ross has taken up bare-knuckle fighting to pay off his debt to Charlie. She hopes Zak will be able to talk some sense into him, but the meeting doesn't go quite how she anticipated, while Cain just wants to know why his daughter cares so much about Ross's welfare. Betty returns to make a surprise announcement, Rakesh proposes to Priya, and Rachel makes plans to leave the village after getting a glimpse of Jai's dangerous side.
